I didn't know about the labyrinth. We climbed up one of the spires, and the top is QUITE scary, because a lighter, thinner stone was used 800 years ago (must have been a terrible job to carry it up)
and has worn through in places, and the wind gets suddenly strong. Apparently years ago it was necessary to live in the tower, to ring the enormous bells on time, and to keep watch for fire or invaders.
There was an exhibit of photos of the roof and steeple being restored by absolute daredevils.
