Hello everyone! This is the thread where Leopard and I will give you the gradual info about our 30 minute CG film. It will be updated weekly (most likely on the Friday or Saturday) with news and other things. Over the probably couple of years it will take to make this film, we will be updating this thread with sketches, character designs, storyboards, parts of the script, pics of the final sculptures and the digitized CG model. After that, we will be giving you character tests and fur tests etc., and progression reels like layout shots and animated shots, and then at the very end, clips of the final film, rendered and finished! But that'll be quite a while. In a couple of hours tonight, I will post the first news reel, called Behind the Story. Well, I hope you enjoy as we gradually watch the MAKING OF FROG BLAST!!!

Behind the Story!

Frog Blast was developed quite fast. I was on a holiday in Rome in April 06, (so Frog Blast is actually two years old in just two months!:surprise and I was at the collesium. Then I was thinking of a pair of characters and then thought of a two unlikely pair of animals. Chrisara the Frog popped into my mind, his cool and sometimes snobbish character developing. Then Badger, a little dumb but still as loyal as someone can be! When I got home from my holiday I typed it up and showed it to Leopard and our third musketeer. They liked it and onto the final script writing it was! It was going to be animated definately. We were originally going to make it stop-motion but all the action, slapstick and squash-and-stretchy characters were past the limitations for stop-motion plasticine!So then it was decided that it would be made in CGI. We weren't to keen on 2D animation, so we just stuck with CGI (which in case you don't know stands for computer generated imagery:wink. So, I hope you enjoy the wait!
